Submit Your Proposals Now!

The PSA is now accepting paper and panel proposals for the PSA Annual International Conference 2021, taking place in Belfast in collaboration with Queen’s University Belfast, School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics.

As a specialist group within the PSA, ASN can organise a panel or a stream with anarchist approaches to the conference theme. If you are interested to take part in a panel, please contact Thomas Swann.

Below is the Call for Papers:

The conference theme “Resilience. Expertise. Hope” will be crucial ingredients in our ability to adapt and respond in the wake of the fundamental disruption we have experienced due to the pandemic. They will also prove invaluable in informing and shaping diverse and evolving research agendas in political science to make sense of and understand the global economy, global ecosystems and the climate, public health, international security, and many other interrelated issue areas that combine to generate the most pressing challenges of our age.

We trust that Belfast, the dynamic and vibrant capital city of Northern Ireland – rich in political history and current exciting cross-cultural developments at the crossroads of British and Irish, European and global cultures – will provide an inspiring environment in which to welcome you to the PSA Conference in 2021.

The conference is planned as a hybrid event blending the digital and physical worlds together to produce the opportunities and interactions of a physical conference, with the added accessibility of an online event.

The organisation team from Queen’s University Belfast will be led by the Conference Convenors: Professor Alister Miskimmon and Dr Stefan Andreasson.

Full conference details, including the conference theme, submission and registration deadlines, venue details and FAQs are available here.

We look forward to receiving your proposals and seeing you in Belfast in March 2021.
